Karen Neorr, RWA®, Founder and Principal Consultant

Conservation Expertise Rooted in Experience

Neorr Consulting was founded to provide practical, defensible support for conservation and property rights transactions. Grounded in a commitment to Conservation Excellence, the firm helps organizations and landowners navigate complex due diligence processes with clarity and confidence.

Karen Neorr, RWA®, Founder and Principal Consultant, brings more than 15 years of experience in conservation easements, land acquisition, and real estate transactions. She previously served as Forest Legacy Program Coordinator for the State of Idaho, where she facilitated the acquisition of 44 conservation easements protecting more than 45,000 acres and oversaw monitoring compliance across over 100,000 acres.

During her tenure, Idaho became one of the most successful states nationally in securing Forest Legacy funding. That experience shaped a practical, systems-based approach to conservation transactions—one that balances efficiency, defensibility, and long-term stewardship.

Since founding Neorr Consulting in 2021, Karen has supported organizations including The Nature Conservancy, Idaho Department of Lands, the State of Oregon, Kaniksu Land Trust, Palouse Land Trust, and other conservation partners in advancing complex conservation transactions.

Today, Neorr Consulting partners with land trusts, agencies, professional firms, and private landowners throughout Idaho and the Inland Northwest, with services available across the western United States.

Karen lives in Sandpoint, Idaho, where she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family—hiking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing, often with her dog by her side. She also enjoys reading and gardening, and is an active Rotarian, committed to promoting peace and goodwill within her community and beyond. This connection to both place and community informs her approach to conservation—grounded, practical, and focused on long-term stewardship.

This commitment to Conservation Excellence guides every engagement—ensuring projects are approached with care, clarity, and long-term perspective.
